Today I have yet made another cute, but yet simple puff pastry creation called Sacristans which is the shape of a corkscrew. Sacristans are twisted puff pastries that could be filled with variations of different types of fillings. The traditional type of filling is usually a mixture of cinnamon and granulated sugar. My flavor happened to be an orange marmalade and chocolate which complimented the puff pastry quite well. When biting into the puff pastry it gave a nice crunch. The twisting of my sacristans were quite well for making them the first time. I even gave them a nice golden brown to add nice coloring to them. Tying them into a bunch makes a great photo and is very decorative.
